During the first part of our workshop we will attempt to show you how to find this vision (Omnichannel Nirvana). Then, we will proceed to an exercise that will allow us to practice mapping out a chosen customer path in the context of stocktaking and planning touch points, customer problems, ways to address them, as well as their influence on customer experience and, by extension, business KPI.

Panel discussion: How to eat an elephant? Agile transformation process step by step.

Any transformation entails profound process, organisational and technological changes. All organisations have to face the challenge of defining their requirements in detail, in the initial phase of the project. Sales and marketing are constantly changing and their evolution cannot be stopped for the duration of the transformation process. Rather than that, they should be taken into account in the transformation’s design phase. Still, a transformation can also give rise to innovative and competitive business ideas that should be implemented and tested quickly, with a ready plan of smooth withdrawal.

It proves very difficult to go through a transformation using traditional methods, also regarding the implementation process. This part of the workshop is a discussion of experts who will share their experiences with the agile model of technology implementation. During the discussion we will attempt to answer the following questions:

  • What are the pillars of a successful project?
  • Is it true that you do not have to plan anything in Agile?
  • Does Agile mean less effort on the behalf of the company, or not necessarily?
  • What are the pros and cons of Waterfall vs. Agile with regard to costs, pace of implementation, success of the transformation and general management of the whole project?
  • How to convince the management / sponsor to go through with a project that will evolve in time?
